Kiliyur Falls, Yercaud: Trekking Guide, Timings & Safety Tips

Kiliyur Falls is a 300-foot high waterfall located in the Shevaroy hill range of the Eastern Ghats in Yercaud. Formed by the overflow of Yercaud Lake, it requires a trek of about 2 km and a descent down 200 to 250 steep steps.

• The trail: The path involves a slope and roughly 200-250 steep, uneven stone steps. Climbing back up can be tiring.
• Suitability: Not recommended for small children, the elderly, or anyone with joint and breathing difficulties.
• Provisions: There are virtually no shops or food stalls near the bottom of the falls, so carry drinking water and snacks.
• Safety: Rocks can be slippery during and after rains. Swimming is risky when the water flow is strong.
